The engines are designed to power general-purpose light aircraft and primary trainer aircraft.
The AI-450CP, AI-450CP-1 and AI-450CP-2 engines are allowed to power aerobatic aircraft under no-load and negative load conditions.
Special versions of engines of the AI-450C family can power UAVs.
